Private sewers: Are you going to put up my bill to pay for taking on these assets?
Yes, in order to make sure that we can clear blockages and undertake repairs on these newly transferred private sewers it is likely that the water bills for our customers will increase in the future.
We are still working with the industry regulator (Ofwat) to determine how much the water bills need to increase for our customers. It is estimated that the increase for customers across the UK will be between 25p and £1.17 per month. We don't expect you to see any bill increases, as a result of the transfer, until 2014 at the earliest.
